Adjustment lever
A replacement that restores the action without play and avoids replacing the whole assembly.
The challenge
The lever operating the height and tilt adjustment of an office chair broke. It is the part pushed by hand, inserted into the metal joint that controls the backrest: without it, the whole mechanism is out of use.
The constraints
The replacement had to keep exactly the shape, the dimensions and the bearing points of the original. Above all the area that fits into the mechanism: any play there is felt when operating it.
The solution
It was modelled from the original design, carefully reproducing the fit with the metal joint so that the action came out smooth and without play.
