Custom battery pack

A six-cell pack with an integrated 6S BMS in an enclosure fitted to the millimetre to the space available.

The challenge

A device needed a battery that does not exist commercially: six cells managed by a 6S BMS, filling exactly the space available inside the unit.

The constraints

Space was in charge. The assembly had to be rigid enough to protect the cells and at the same time not take up a millimetre more than necessary, with the cable outlet at the exact point where the installation expected it.

The solution

The six cells are assembled with a holding system that defines the shape of the pack, and the BMS is soldered directly onto them keeping the layout tidy. Around it, an enclosure designed on the real geometry of the pack, with a precise opening for the cable outlet and its connector.

The enclosure

It is designed specifically for the geometry of the pack, fitted to the millimetre so as to take up only the space strictly needed. It aims for a balance between rigidity, protection and appearance, with a precise opening for the cable outlet and its connector that allows a secure fit with no play.
