Dimensional replica of the original with a smooth finish, made in PETG for heat resistance.
The challenge
Replacing the original mouthpiece of a 40 mm Valhalla vaporiser. It is a part that goes to the mouth and works in contact with heat, so neither the dimensions nor the finish allow approximations.
The constraints
It had to keep the dimensions and the comfort in use of the original, and withstand the working temperature without degrading.
The solution
A precise replica printed in PETG for its heat resistance and then hand-sanded through progressive grits until the surface was uniform and completely smooth.
