Y-adapter
A reinforced joint that restores rigidity to the frame and avoids having to replace the whole thing.
The challenge
The Y-joint connecting three tubes in the frame of a gazebo broke. It is the point where the loads converge: without it, the gazebo loses rigidity and stops standing up.
The constraints
The three tubes had to go in without forcing. A deviation in the angles would have transmitted stress to the rest of the frame and moved the breakage to another point.
The solution
An adapter with two arms at 90° reproducing the geometry of the original part, printed with reinforced walls to withstand outdoor use.
